Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society
Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society is an organization that is recognized worldwide. Its purpose is to recognize strong scholarship in mathematics and promote interest and enjoyment in the subject. The St. Augustine Catholic High School chapter has two main goals. Our primary goal is to provide a peer tutoring program for the student community and our secondary goal is to participate in regional, state and national wide math competitions.
In order to become a member of Mu Alpha Theta one must have completed Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2 and must maintain a 3.0 math GPA. All members must attend monthly meetings, participate in tutoring services and math competitions in order to maintain their membership.
